One of the kids on Jax's football team found out that he had cancer a couple of days after our first game. Two days before he started chemo the whole team got together and shaved their heads...coaches included! Fox 13 news came and did a story on it...that is the camera man you see in the first pic. The next day was their team picture in which everyone is bald. It is hard to tell the kids apart. Jax was really excited about doing this for his friend. I have never let him buzz his hair so he had worked up an entire speech on how " there is more to life than hair" and " this is really important to me" He said he even had some back up plans. I did however say yes the minute I heard why they were doing it. I am really proud of him for being such a good person. I learn from him everyday!

gotta love that jaxy!
That is so awesome to have the kids support their teammate & friend. Jax is such a wonderful & caring kid.
I love how kids are so willing to do anything for their frfiends. And the whole speech thing thats a riot.
What a neat lesson for all of those boys to learn at such a young age. Very cool! And, I am glad that you allowed him to join in the cause. ;)
Way to go Jax! That's awesome. I can only imagine what the little boy's mother, who is sitting next to Jax with the full head of curls, thought. She probably had tears during the shaving.
