We had a great Christmas this year. Jax got a new bike, Jordy a scooter, Josh got Laser Tag, and Jacob got a DS. Cameron got a walker that he can use in about 6 months:) We have had a good break. The kids have gone sledding at my parents house several times. We have been skiing a few more times. We have also done a lot of relaxing.

Snowboarding and Skiing!
I have had Jax and Josh in snowboarding lessons and Jordy in skiing lessons the past 3 weekends. We have had so much fun. I went up with them and would watch and tag along with them on the mountain. It was so much fun. It is so great to start new things with the boys and realize how much fun we are going to have together as they get older. I didn't have to sit and parent the whole time I actually got to enjoy their company and have fun with them. They all picked it up so quickly and are doing great. I caught up with Jax and Josh after lunch yesterday...thinking they would still be doing green runs...it's only been 3 weeks. They were going on all blue runs and down really scary slopes. I am not very good, I thought I was going to kill myself up there. It was good for me because it forced me to be brave and go for it. I did better than I thought I would. I haven't been skiing since I was a kid. Curtis and I went 2 years ago once, so this season it has been good practice to go 3 times in a row. My skills are improving but I'm going to have to get a lot better fast if I want to keep up with my boys! Jax went off a huge jump and landed it yesterday it was awesome to watch. Kids learn so fast and have no fear, if you have athletic ability that adds up to a lot of fun! I'm really proud of them! I love my boys!

Enjoy living your life...
I wrote this to a friend and relized that maybe more people could benefit from this lesson than just her. If you need to replace the number of kids you have in the appropriate places:)
A little advice...The few months before Jake died I was so overwhelmed. I was Primary president...pta vice president...volenteering at the school every week to read to the kids...room mother...in a painting class, clogging class, and tap class (for fun for me)...not to mention I had a husband and 3 kids. I was so stressed out all the time. The week before he died I was nearing a breaking point. I felt the same way you describe in your blog...not looking forward to things and dreading what comes next. When he died I relized how not one of those things really mattered and that was it...I got out of everything I was in. I obviously had a lot of grieving to do but the lesson here is...I dont do that anymore. Dont take on more than you can do. Your kids wont remember the one thing you didnt do. They might however remember being snapped at on christmas. They will remeber you smiling and being happy when you are doing the things that you do decide is worth your time. You will be amazed at how freeing this is. There is a season for all things. Right now you have 4 kids and one on the way. Your season right now is to focus on them. If that means that you do nothing but be a mom that is ok. Make sure you take time at least once a week for your self. Walmart has $22. pedicures. I promise life will seem worth living again as long as you are only doing what is important to you...not to your bishop, your mother, your kids teacher, and whoever else you are trying to please. Learn to say NO Im sorry I dont have the time for that right now. There are enough people in the season of helping with out little kids to get the jobs done. This will change your life! Dont stress about what doesnt matter. The only things that matter are your kids and hubby. Dont let life pass you by...it goes to quick sometimes:)

Cameron November 2008
Cameron is so fun. We have loved having our new addition to the family! He is rolling over and his smile lights up the room. We can even get him to laugh. The boys are crazy about him. If fact sometimes they end up grounded from the baby(when they are a little too crazy). He sleeps through the night still which keeps mom very happy. He has really started to grow. He is on the 90% for hieght and the 50% for weight. We are so happy to have him.

HALLOWEEN
Jordy was High King Peter from Narnia...when he would tell people what he was it sounded like he was saying hiking peter...it was cute.
Jacob was Iron Man...the costume even had a glowing center.
This year we decorated Curtis' office. We won the scariest office award. It was a lot of fun to do. His work has a party for all the families to come and trick-or-treat at the office. They have food and games for the kids to play. After the party we went to Mikey's football game at Bingham. After that was trick-or-treating and then soup and cookies at grandma's house. The boys had a great Halloween!
A TRIP TO THE ZOO!

Hair Free for #73
One of the kids on Jax's football team found out that he had cancer a couple of days after our first game. Two days before he started chemo the whole team got together and shaved their heads...coaches included! Fox 13 news came and did a story on it...that is the camera man you see in the first pic. The next day was their team picture in which everyone is bald. It is hard to tell the kids apart. Jax was really excited about doing this for his friend. I have never let him buzz his hair so he had worked up an entire speech on how " there is more to life than hair" and " this is really important to me" He said he even had some back up plans. I did however say yes the minute I heard why they were doing it. I am really proud of him for being such a good person. I learn from him everyday!

Baby Blessing
Cameron was blessed on Oct. 12, 2008. Curtis blessed him. We had all the family come. It was nice to have all of Jake's family as well. We had a nice lunch at our home after. Cameron was a sweetheart the whole day. It is such a blessing to have this little angel in our home. He has been sleeping through the night for 2 months. He is a little trooper...he gets to go to all the games and run around his brothers all day long. I love being a mom. It is crazy to think how fast they grow up. I still feel like it should be Jax...I do enjoy having a lot of different stages of life going on with my boys. It is fun to watch them all grow and learn new things...from rolling over to algebra:)

Football, Football, Football!!!
My life revolves around football right now! Jax and Josh are both playing. Curtis has 3 of his boys playing too. We have practices every night and games on Sat. If this wasn't enough Mikey my brother is playing for Bingham this year. He is some sort of receiver and is being looked at by several colleges. So we have been trying to go to his games. To top it off Curtis gives new meaning to the word fanatic when it comes to BYU. So we have season tickets to all the BYU games...the only up side here is that he is a Legacy member which means we have the best seats and it comes with an amazing banquet before the game. We have a personal cooler under the seats with water and treats. At half time they have popcorn and hot dogs and at third quarter they bring us ice cream. When I explained to Josh that most people don't get all those things he asked, "Why do they go to the game then?"...I have to agree;) So here are some pictures of last weeks 2 big games. The Bingham game was the Centennial game. It was fun to see all the Cheerleaders in different uniforms. I saw a couple of my old uniforms. Mikey also informed me that the picture in the display case at the school to showcase the cheerleaders over the years was of the Bingham High Cheerleaders of 1995. I always new we had the best year;)

First Days of School!
Jacob started preschool at Learning Dynamics Preschool. He will be going 3 days a week for a little over 2 hours. He was so excited to be big like all his brothers. All the other kids were crying holding on to their moms. He ran past them all in to the room saying "Bye Mom". I asked if he would give me a hug. He ran back gave me a hug and a kiss and then ran back into the room with another "Bye Mom". No tears for me. I loved it though he is so cute. I will miss him. We are really close and he is one of my favorite people to be around.
