Lake Powell this year was by far the best trip we have had. We brought some of my friends, and one of Curtis'. We had great weather and great water all week. We had a group of 15 people. Seven people had never wake boarded before and we were able to get five of the seven up in a short time. We had 4 people trying flips who had never done them before and some newbies trying tricks for the first time. Everyone had great attitudes and got along really well. I actually was one of the first to try the flips on the wake board. I was able to master a 180 jump as well. We invited my widow's lunch group, Lisa and Dennis, Kristy and Nate (both widowed), and Melinda. We also invited Jeanette and Darrin my old friends from Castle Dale. Char and Adam came as well as Natalie and her date Jason. John and Curtis go way back and he usually comes on all the Lake Powell trips (even the family ones). It was so great to spend quality time with my friends and especially Curtis for a week. We played hard but really relaxed as well and enjoyed the short break from the boys. Thanks to Lyndsee and Clint who ran the household and the boys for the week. They are so great with my kids and the boys love them! They are the best!!! Here are a few pics from our getaway:)
Curtis is great to drive the boat all day long while everyone takes their turn.
(Our Widow's group)
You'd be hard pressed to find a bunch of cuter widows;)
Me and Natalie
Char and I became friends with Nat at the gym over 4 years ago.
We were all friends in Castle Dale. Lisa fits into both groups...widows and Castle Dale friends. Jeanette saw both of us through losing our husbands. She was there with me when they told me Jake died. She stayed with me all night until my family got there.

I wish we'd been there. although I wouldn't be doing any of those flips. I'm just not that adventurous. I'm glad you had a great time.
I also wish I was there. I haven't been on the water since before Jake died. We miss you all.
Oh my gosh Julie, you are awesome on the wakeboard! I had no idea you were such an animal. I still have never done a flip on it. Maybe this year... Your trip looks so fun!
Ok. So FUN!
