Baseball, Baseball, Baseball, and oh yeah, more Baseball!

Jax
Marlins

Jax had a great time playing this year. He was on his buddy Coleman's team which helped me out a lot because he could ride to the games and practices with him and his dad. Jax was able to pitch and make the winning run in a game they were down by 14 at one point. He loves playing ball. He has played 2nd, 3rd, Left, and Right field this year. He always stays positive and has fun playing the game no matter the outcome.

Josh
Cardinals

Josh has learned a lot about baseball this year. He has become much more mentally and emotionally tough. Playing baseball didn't come as easy to him, but he tries hard everyday to become better and he has succeeded. I am very proud of him. He has learned to hit the ball and be part of the team. One of the games when he hit the ball we all started jumping up and down. The first baseman dropped the ball and Josh was safe. He was so excited, we were all screaming and even he was jumping up and down on the base. No one had been hitting that day and so the coach told them the next person to hit the ball and get on base would get a dollar. He won the game dollar. He has learned a lot and had a lot of fun!

Jordy
Yankees

Jordy was able to be on his friend's team as well. Their dad was the coach and they had so much fun. Jordy is a natural ball player. He has wanted to be a catcher since he was 18 months old. He would squat down behind the catcher at Mikey's games. He has wanted "big pads" since he was 3. This was the first year they have kids play the catcher wearing the "big pads" (he got his own pads for his 6th birthday). The first game they had the coach let Jordy be the catcher. He has played catcher several times and also plays 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. He has made a lot of plays to get people out. He hits the ball almost every time, and he has been practicing to be a switch hitter. He has hit the ball a few times batting left. I am sure this is the beginning of a very long career in sports.

Jacob
Blue Jays

Jacob is a really good little player. He is always smiling and having fun. He bats left just like Jax does. He watches so much baseball at his brothers games that he has a very advanced level of understanding. The other day he asked me if they can steal the bases in T-ball. He is beyond his age and can't wait to be playing by the real rules. He has a great swing and is playing catch with grandpa all the time. He always has some kind of ball with him. He is so fun to watch. He always slides home.
I have survived a season with all 4 playing. I have made it to almost all of the games and we have only missed one practice. We spend about 25 hours a week on baseball alone. Most Saturdays we are at the park for 6 hours. During the weekdays it is usually 2-4 hours a day. We have had a couple of weeks with 1 day off. I have to say though, I love my life, I love my boys, and I love watching them learn, excel, and have fun doing it!

I really just laugh at this craziness! My brother who has 6 kids runs from soccer game to soccer game and he always tells me all about it....now you REALLY probably meet the definition of a taxi driver...oh wait, except you do it for free :)

I wish that Kirk and I had made it to a game. I keep telling myself someday I'll be up there to see their games but they are growing up too fast. Love you guys.
