Jordy's Birthday...at Disneyland

This summer I asked Jordy what he wanted to do for his birthday. He thought about it for a minute and then responded, "I think I'd like to go to Disneyland." I told him that wasn't one of the choices and gave him a few options like going to the park or swimming. Then about a week before Jordy's birthday my brother Mike got his mission call and was scheduled to leave just 4 weeks later. We had several plans for the upcoming 3 months that we thought we would have that would now need to be squeezed into 4 weeks. My mom came over to our house later that night and said she wanted to go to Disneyland the next week. So for Jordy's 7th birthday he got his wish and we went to Disneyland for his party. The trip was last minute and a lot of fun. I made Jordy a cake when we returned home. He wanted a Thomas the train cake. Jordy is a great kid and I love having him in our family. He giggles a lot and is very silly. He has a very high tolerance for pain that is very interesting to watch. I have a feeling that between that and his sense of adventure he could get into some sticky situations when he is older. He is a great little boy!

The toys from Toy Story came driving down the road and pulled in the boys to play with them on their instruments. The boys loved it!
