Curtis & Julie's Family: Lake Powell Family Trip 2009

Lake Powell is one of our main family vacations each summer. We had so much fun this year. We missed the T Boys but had all the J Boys with us. We also took along Mikey and his friends, Dantley and DeeJ. Along with them we had Traci, Abby, Carly, Jace and Trent & Adela joined too. We had a blast. Jax and Josh were really feeding off of the competitive side of the "Big Guys" which made them perform their personal best. Cam was an angel and had a great time. Jacob and Jordy enjoyed the boat rides, going down the slide, swimming, and playing on the beach. Jax, Josh, Julie, Mikey, and DeeJ all tried the back flip. Josh and Mikey were the closest to landing it. We also got good at the surf board. Adela and Abby were first timers that got up. Jace was a first timer and mastered it. Jax was able to master it and I got a lot better too. We all had a lot of fun. It was one of the best trips we've had down there. It was a great way for us to spend some time with Mikey before his mission too. He left just 2 weeks later.

Jax getting some nice air! He started the week with just a foot of air and by the end of the week he was getting 4 and 5 feet of air...it was so awesome!

Josh doing a superman! Josh likes to go for the extreme tricks. He started this week getting a couple of inches of air and by the end of the week was nearly landing back flips. He didn't even warn us that he was going to do one. He got about 2 feet of air one time and then the next time he went for the back flip! It was so fun to watch him!!!
