Baseball 2008

It's offical...I get my life back! Baseball is over for another season. We played really well and had a lot of fun. All 4 of the J Boys were involved this year. I was proud of all of them. I am also really happy the season is over. We had 8 games a week as well as practices.
Jacob was a "Cub"

(notice the batting gloves in his back pocket)

Jacob had a lot of fun playing. He was the best one on his team and the only one that didnt go to any of the practices and missed several games. He started the season with a broken arm and being the youngest I didnt tell him when any of his things were in case they interferred with the other boys things...or just if I needed a break. It proved to me that dragging him to all his brothers games and having him watch was far more educational than the practices were. He was really cute. He is a left batter just like Jax. He loved being a Cub!

Jordy was an Indian

Jordy is our hardcore player. He is obsessed with all things sports. Every season he throws himself into. He has been asking for catcher pads since he was 3 years old. He has the perfect swing and stands just right. He slides like a pro and plays harder than anyone else on the field. He is all buisness and takes it very seriously. He is a head taller than all the kids his age and has the coordination. He will go far in whatever sport he chooses. He is our most athletic child. He reminds me so much of Jake. He has a ton of energy too. He didnt even miss his game the day after he had surgery. He looks forward to next year when his team gets to have a real catcher. His birthday is in a month and catcher pads is at the top of the list. (He is finally big enough to fit in the smallest size they make!)

Josh was on the A's team

Josh has to work a little harder when he plays baseball. He is great with X-treme sports but the more traditional ones he stuggles with. He wanted to play this year though and did great.(We give all the boys the choice...there is no "must play" mentality around here!) He told Jax that he hated it at first but by the end of the season he said he learned to like it. He got hits and played his best. I was proud of him for trying and not giving up or asking if he could quit. He stayed commited to his team. He had a great coach which really helped. I think we may look into wrestling. His greif counselor thinks he would make it all the way in Ultimate Fighting...have you ever watched that? I think it's the worst thing Ive ever seen. His team took 4th place this year.

Jax was on the Dodgers

Jaxon's team took 1st Place this year. He had a blast. He is a great player. Their team also won the best sportmanship award this year. He bats left and throws right. He has always loved playing sports. He has a great attitude about it and a really good selfesteem. He was so excited that they took first. The trophy is his biggest yet. I am glad he enjoyed the season so much. It was really fun to watch this year.

All in all we had a great season and learned a lot. I will be enjoying our 1 month break from sports by giving birth to another boy! I must be crazy!!! But I love my life.

I agree with amy you are a super mother. I still have to endure 2 more games on monday and ceremonies on thursday. Then I will feel like summer has started.

Holy cow...I though I was busy...but compared to you...not at all! I am sure it was fun and crazy to attend all of the games and practices. How wonderful that you are having yet another boy! I guess you really know how to handle them! Any names picked out for the new baby yet?
